Ringside Cobra Reflex Punching Bag

I just looked up the Ringside Cobra Reflex Punching Bag and currently there are a lot of stores out of stock, like this listing at Amazon.

Update: no one can find this in stock. Leave a comment if you find it since a few people are looking for it.

I’m wondering if a bunch of people got the same idea as I did after seeing Ryan Garcia using one:

After I saw this video I wanted one. I don’t have tons of space at home, and also no one to train with, so you have to be creative.

I’ll be checking on this from time to time and will list it here if I find somewhere that has it in stock.

It looks like the price goes from around $150-$250 for these. Ringside lists it at $199 on their website, and I saw it on a site called Bound Boxing for $149.

Good For Speed?

Another thing I noticed is Virgil Ortiz commented that he loves the Cobra (that’s actually how I figured out what it is, as a lot of people asked Ryan in the comments), and so, looking at these two, they are both pretty quick, so maybe this is a tool that helps them with that. (Granted it could also just be good genetics).

Both are strong up and coming fighters, with Golden Boy Promotions. De La Hoya was giving them nice praise as he was listing a few notable fighters to watch out for ahead of the big Alvarez and Chavez Jr. fight.

Here’s a video of Vergil Ortiz. He’s got some quick hands, and this is a first round knockout, like most of his fights have been, besides his last one in the Alvarez Chavez Jr. undercard:

Have you found a store? All reflex bags I know have the spring at the beginning and not in the middle.

Same here, I wonder what happened. I’ve looked through Amazon from time to time, and there are still some pages on sites like Kmart still up, but say sold out.

From my research I think they’ve got the older model. The new Ringside / Cobra bag is not as good. Don’t think they make the good ones that Garcia uses anymore 🙁

Good question, I haven’t found one anywhere. I hope they make it again. I can’t even find a comparable reflex bag. Most have the spring at the bottom that I have found.

My Dad has been in contact with a rep from Title, there has been a demand for these bags and they are in the process of bringing them back sometime this year. MaxxMMA Advanced Reflx Bag is also set to come out this year too…

Yeah, titan boxing used to do a model very similar also. They’re both gone out of production and unavailable. I messaged both ringside and titan and neither bothered to reply about it.

I seen what seems to be a good quality reflex bag from the people at maxx mma. Looks to be more heavy duty than others.

I called Ringside in early 2017 to ask about ordering extra parts and was told that the units had been discontinued.

I believe the bladders were made in Pakistan and the frames were made in India. Ha ha
